Advisory for the Thorn Creek...

  Thorn Creek at Thornton affecting Cook County

.Heavy rains in the past 24 hours of just over two inches has
caused rises along the Thorn Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

* until Sunday morning.
* At  830 AM Saturday the stage was 8.6 feet.
* Action stage is 9.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to near 9.5 feet by this evening.
