  Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire affecting Lake County
  Des Plaines River near Des Plaines affecting Cook County
  Des Plaines River at Riverside affecting Cook County
  Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater affecting Kane and McHenry
  Counties

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

  The Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater.
* until further notice.
* At  130 PM Thursday the stage was 12.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
* Recent activity...Flood forecasts for Algonquin were moved to this
  location on July 5 2011. Gage zero datum is different from the old
  gage location. Flood and action stages have changed.
* Major flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 13.0 feet by
  early Friday then begin falling.

  The Des Plaines River near Russell.
* until late Monday night.
* At  130 PM Thursday the stage was 8.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  Monday evening.
* Impact...At 8.0 feet...Agricultural land and park lands flood. Water
  approaches a few homes near railroad tracks.

* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 10.5 feet...IL Route 32(Grand Avenue) closes.

  The Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire.
* until Tuesday morning.
* At  145 PM Thursday the stage was 14.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to rise slightly near 14.8 feet
  by early Friday. The river will fall below flood stage by early
  Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet...Water begins to pond on Lincolnshire Drive
  at Wiltshire Lane.  Londonderry Lane is closed between Lincolnshire
  Drive and 45 Londonberry Lane.

  The Des Plaines River near Des Plaines.
* until Monday evening.
* At  145 PM Thursday the stage was 18.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Recent activity...Gage datum was changed by 10 feet on Nov 14 2014.
  Flood thresholds and flood impacts are now 10 feet higher than
  previous values.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising slightly to near 18.4
  feet by this evening. The river will fall below flood stage Monday
  afternoon.
* Impact...At 18.5 feet...Flood waters affect residential areas of Big
  Bend Drive, Mason Lane, River Road, and Howard.

* At  145 PM Thursday the stage was 7.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 7.8 feet by
  Friday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Saturday
  afternoon.
* Impact...At 7.5 feet...Park areas are inundated near Salt Creek.
