THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

  WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

  THUNDERSTORMS...THE STRONGEST MAY PRODUCE:
   DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH.
   HAIL TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS.
   HEAVY RAIN AND FLASH FLOODING.
   FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

  AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

   THE GREATEST SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL SPREAD EAST ACROSS
   NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA LATE IN THE EVENING
   AND OVERNIGHT.

  DISCUSSION:

   A FEW SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE MAINLY ACROSS NORTH
   CENTRAL ILLINOIS THIS AFTERNOON...HOWEVER THE SEVERE THREAT IS
   MINIMAL. STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVER
   IOWA THIS EVENING AND MOVE EAST MERGING INTO A LINEAR MCS WITH
   DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINE WINDS THE PRIMARY THREAT. SOME AREAS
   MAY SEE BACKBUILDING OR TRAINING THUNDERSTORMS WHICH WILL
   RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING.

MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING WILL CONTINUE ON PORTIONS OF THE
IROQUOIS...KANKAKEE...AND ILLINOIS RIVERS WITH MAJOR FLOODING
CONTINUING ON PORTIONS OF THE IROQUOIS RIVER IN NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

PERIODS OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE THURSDAY...FRIDAY...AND
AGAIN SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

PORTIONS OF THE IROQUOIS...KANKAKEE...AND ILLINOIS RIVERS WILL
REMAIN IN FLOOD.
