NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

  WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

  ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...WHICH MAY PRODUCE:

   OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
   ISOLATED WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH.
   BRIEF DOWNPOURS.

  AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

  ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS FAR NORTHWEST AND
  NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS EARLY THIS MORNING. ISOLATED TO SCATTERED
  THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE MAINLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 THIS
  AFTERNOON.

  DISCUSSION:

  A SMALL UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL PASS ACROSS FAR NORTHERN
  ILLINOIS THIS MORNING...AND WILL PRODUCE SHOWERS WITH AN ISOLATED
  THUNDERSTORM OR TWO. DAYTIME HEATING...COMBINED WITH A COLD FRONTAL
  BOUNDARY AND A STRONGER APPROACHING UPPER DISTURBANCE WILL RESULT IN
  ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS BY THIS AFTERNOON...MAINLY SOUTH
  OF INTERSTATE 80 WHERE MORE ABUNDANT LOW LEVEL MOISTURE WILL SUPPORT
  GREATER INSTABILITY. WHILE THESE ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS
  WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING...BRIEF
  DOWNPOURS AND WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH...NO SEVERE ORGANIZED SEVERE
  WEATHER IS EXPECTED.

PORTIONS OF THE ILLINOIS RIVER WILL REMAIN IN FLOOD.

HIGH WAVES AND STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS SWIMMING CONDITIONS
FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH TONIGHT FOR BEACHES ALONG THE INDIANA LAKE
MICHIGAN SHORE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

PORTIONS OF THE ILLINOIS RIVER WILL REMAIN IN FLOOD.
