  NEARSHORE WATERS FROM CALUMET HARBOR TO BURNS HARBOR...
  OPEN WATERS FROM WILMETTE HARBOR TO MICHIGAN CITY OUT TO MID
LAKE...

AT 711 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG
THUNDERSTORM...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS. THIS
THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED 21 NM SOUTHWEST OF MONTROSE HARBOR...MOVING
EAST AT 40 KNOTS. WHILE THIS STORM WAS WEAKENING...WINDS TO AROUND
30 KTS ARE POSSIBLE AS IT MOVES ACROSS THE FAR SOUTH END OF LAKE
MICHIGAN.

THE STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR GARY BY 8 PM CDT AND NEAR BURNS
HARBOR AROUND 815 PM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
