AT 945 AM CDT...AN AREA OF RAIN AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WAS
OVER NORTHWEST INDIANA. THE AREA OF RAIN WAS MOVING TO THE
NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH...AND WILL BRING RAIN TO AREAS NORTH OF A
SCHNEIDER TO GIFFORD LINE THROUGH ABOUT 11 AM CDT. THE STRONGEST
THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED NEAR MERRILLVILLE 945 AM...AND THIS STORM
WILL LIKELY PRODUCE A QUICK HALF TO THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH OF
RAIN AND SOME SMALL HAIL ACROSS THE HOBART...PORTAGE AND
CHESTERTON AREAS. ANOTHER STRONG STORM WAS NEAR WHEATFIELD...AND
WILL AFFECT THE WHEATFIELD AND DUNNS BRIDGE AREAS BEFORE MOVING
TO THE EAST OF THE AREA.

OVER NORTHWEST ILLINOIS...GENERALLY WEST OF A MORRISON TO
FORRESTON AND LAKE SUMMERSET LINE. THIS AREA OF RAIN AND
THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH...AND WILL MOVE INTO THE
SOUTH BELOIT...ROCKFORD AND OREGON AREAS THROUGH 1045 AM CDT.
BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING CAN
BE EXPECTED WITH THE STRONGER STORMS...AS WELL AS WEST TO
NORTHWEST WINDS UP TO 30 MPH WHICH WILL LIKELY ARRIVE TO THE ACTUAL
STORMS.
