...A Look Back at the Climate for the Month of July 2017 for
Chicago and Rockford...

At Chicago, the average high temperature was 83.8 degrees, which
is 0.3 degrees below normal. The average low temperature was 65.5
degrees, which is 1.6 degrees above normal. The average
temperature for the month was 74.6 degrees which is 0.6 degrees
above normal. During the month of July, 7.68 inches of
precipitation were recorded, which is 3.98 inches above normal.

There were no daily records set during the month of July 2017 for
Chicago.

One Top Ten Monthly Records:
**6th wettest July on record since 1871 with 7.68 inches.

At Rockford, the average high temperature was 84.1 degrees, which
is 0.4 degrees below normal. The average low temperature was 64.0
degrees, which is 1.0 degree above normal. The average temperature
for the month was 74.0 degrees, which is 0.2 degrees above
normal. During the month of July, 7.43 inches of precipitation
were recorded, which is 3.48 inches above normal.

There was one daily record for Rockford for the month of July 2017:
