...SNOW SHOWERS EARLY THIS MORNING...

AN AREA OF SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE EARLY THIS MORNING FOR
PARTS OF NORTHEAST ILLINOIS...INCLUDING CHICAGO...AS WELL AS FAR
NORTHWEST INDIANA. THE SNOW SHOWERS ARE TEMPORARILY HEAVY WITH
BRIEF BUT SHARP REDUCTIONS IN VISIBILITY. ACCUMULATIONS ARE MAINLY
LIGHT...THOUGH THEY COULD BE UP TO AN INCH OR A LITTLE OVER UNDER
THE LONGER LASTING SNOW SHOWERS.

THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TAPER TO FLURRIES BY 7 TO 8 AM IN
DOWNTOWN CHICAGO...8 AM TO 10 AM IN THE SOUTH METRO AND I-57
CORRIDOR...AND BY MIDDAY IN FAR NORTHWEST INDIANA. LINGERING SNOW
ON ROADWAYS AND SIDEWALKS MAY MAKE THEM SLICK IN SOME LOCATIONS
THROUGH THE ENTIRE MORNING. PREPARE FOR POTENTIAL EXTRA COMMUTE
TIME THIS MORNING.
