A STORM SYSTEM WILL LIFT FROM THE SOUTHERN PLAINS LATE TONIGHT TO
THE OHIO VALLEY BY MID DAY SATURDAY. SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA
FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST...AFFECTING AREAS PRIMARILY ALONG AND
SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 AFTER MIDNIGHT AND THEN PRIMARILY ALONG AND
SOUTH OF MENDOTA TO CHICAGO ON SATURDAY MORNING. THE SNOW WILL
TAPER OFF IN THE AFTERNOON. CURRENT INDICATIONS ARE FOR 2 TO 4
INCHES ALONG AND SOUTH OF PONTIAC TO VALPARAISO TO ACCUMULATE BY
SATURDAY AFTERNOON...WITH THE POTENTIAL HIGHER AMOUNTS FOR SOUTH
OF THE ILLINOIS AND KANKAKEE RIVERS. FARTHER NORTH...ONE TO TWO
INCHES COULD ACCUMULATE ALONG AND SOUTH OF MENDOTA TO CHICAGO. THE
SNOW IS LIKELY TO RESULT IN SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY ROADWAYS AND
REDUCED VISIBILITY. STAY TUNED FOR THE LATEST FORECAST UPDATES AND
ANY ADVISORIES THAT MAY BE ISSUED FOR THIS STORM SYSTEM.
