Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior
National Weather Service Marquette MI
958 AM EDT Fri Sep 15 2017

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 29.9 inch low pressure trough continues to stretch
from the central Plains to Lake Superior and will remain nearly
stationary through Saturday. Low pressure of 29.8 inches will then
develop along the trough over Minnesota Sunday morning. As this
low lifts into northern Ontario on Sunday, the associated cold
front will sweep across Lake Superior. In its wake, high pressure
of 30.1 inches will build over the Upper Great Lakes on Monday and
drift over eastern Ontario Tuesday. The pressure gradient will
increase across the Upper Great Lakes by Wednesday as low pressure
develops across the northern Plains and lifts into Canada.
