Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior
National Weather Service Marquette MI
336 PM EST Wed Jan 17 2018

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Through tonight, Lake Superior will be between a 29.6
inch low pressure over northwestern Quebec and a 30.6 inch high
pressure over the Lower Mississippi Valley. That high will stall out
at 30.3 inches over the southeastern U.S. through the weekend.
Locally, a 29.8 inch trough will drift from Lake Manitoba to the
Upper Great Lakes Thursday. A 29.3 inch low pressure will then
develop across southern Manitoba Friday and track eastward to
central Quebec by midday Saturday. On Sunday morning, a 29.6 inch
low over the Colorado Rockies will eject into the central plains
and it is expected to deepen to 29.4 inches as it moves across the
Western Great Lakes late Monday.
