...PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
FRIDAY MORNING...

A WIDESPREAD ONE AND ONE HALF TO NEARLY THREE INCHES OF RAIN IS
EXPECTED ROUGHLY NORTH OF A LINE FROM MINERAL POINT...TO
MADISON...TO SHEBOYGAN BETWEEN THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND FRIDAY
MORNING. EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS COULD PRODUCE LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS.

THE AXIS OF HIGHEST PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO BE ACROSS
CENTRAL WISCONSIN. THE RIVERS DOWNSTREAM IN THE HIGHLIGHTED AREA
OF THIS HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT MAY BE IMPACTED BY RISING LEVELS FROM
FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND. THERE IS A HEIGHTENED CONCERN FOR
BANKFULL RISES AND MINOR FLOODING ON SOME STREAMS AND RIVERS
ACROSS THE AREA.

THE HEAVY RAIN MAY ALSO CAUSE URBAN FLOODING AND PONDING OF WATER
ON AREA ROADWAYS. MOTORISTS SHOULD SLOW DOWN IF THEY ENCOUNTER
HEAVY RAIN OR WATER ON THE ROADS...AND SHOULD NEVER ATTEMPT TO
DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED AREAS.
