...DANGEROUS HEAT IN SOUTHERN WISCONSIN TODAY AND FRIDAY...

.A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS THAT MOVED THROUGH THIS MORNING HAS
COOLED THE AREA OFF ENOUGH TO ALLOW US TO DOWNGRADE THE EXCESSIVE
HEAT WARNING TO A HEAT ADVISORY FOR ALL BUT IOWA...LAFAYETTE AND
GREEN COUNTIES IN SOUTHERN WISCONSIN.

ALTHOUGH LIKELY NOT AS HOT AS WE EXPECTED...THE AIRMASS WILL
REMAIN VERY WARM TODAY THROUGH FRIDAY. HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL BE
100 TO 105 DEGREES WEST OF MADISON...AND 95 TO 100 EAST...WITH
VERY WARM AND MUGGY CONDITIONS TONIGHT.

HEAT ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT FRIDAY. THE
EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

* TIMING...12 NOON CDT THURSDAY UNTIL 7 PM CDT FRIDAY

* TEMPERATURE...DAYTIME HIGHS IN THE UPPER 80S TO AROUND 90 TODAY AND
  FRIDAY.

* HEAT INDEX...HEAT AND HUMIDITY WILL MAKE CONDITIONS FEEL WARMER
  THAN ACTUAL TEMPERATURES. MAXIMUM HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL BE 95
  TO 100 DEGREES.

* IMPACTS...A HEIGHTENED RISK OF HEAT-RELATED ILLNESS IS
  POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WORKING OUTDOORS OR THOSE
