...MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL TO CONTINUE OVER WESTERN AND CENTRAL
UPPER MICHIGAN THROUGH EARLY EVENING...

.A STRONG EARLY FALL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER SOUTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN
WILL MOVE THROUGH NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN EARLY THIS EVENING...AND
THEN INTO SOUTHWEST QUEBEC BY DAYBREAK THURSDAY. THIS LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO BRING MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN TO WESTERN AND
CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...WITH AN
ADDITIONAL 0.5 TO 1.5 INCHES EXPECTED. THIS WILL PRODUCE STORM TOTAL
RAINFALL EXCEEDING 3 INCHES OVER PORTIONS OF WESTERN UPPER MICHIGAN.
DUE TO THIS RAINFALL...SMALLER CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL STEADILY RISE
TODAY AND TONIGHT BEFORE FALLING TOMORROW AS THE RAIN COMES TO AN
END. POOR DRAINAGE AREAS MAY ALSO SEE SIGNIFICANT PONDING OF WATER.

* PORTIONS OF CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN AND WESTERN UPPER
  MICHIGAN...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN CENTRAL UPPER
  MICHIGAN...ALGER...BARAGA...DELTA...DICKINSON...IRON...
  MARQUETTE AND MENOMINEE. IN WESTERN UPPER MICHIGAN...GOGEBIC...
   KEWEENAW...NORTHERN HOUGHTON...ONTONAGON AND SOUTHERN
  HOUGHTON.

* UNTIL 8 PM EDT /7 PM CDT/ THIS EVENING

* RAINFALL AMOUNTS THROUGH NOON TODAY RANGE FROM 1.5 TO 2.5 INCHES
  OVER WESTERN UPPER MICHIGAN...GENERALLY WEST OF A LINE FROM BARAGA
  TO IRON RIVER. OVER CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN...RAINFALL AMOUNTS
  THROUGH NOON TODAY RANGE FROM 0.5 INCH TO 1.5 INCHES.

* ADDITIONAL RAINFALL TOTALS OF 0.5 TO 1.5 INCHES ARE EXPECTED
  THROUGH THIS EVENING...WITH THE GREATEST AMOUNTS OVER WESTERN UPPER
  MICHIGAN.

* DUE TO THIS RAINFALL...SMALLER CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL STEADILY
  RISE TODAY AND TONIGHT BEFORE FALLING TOMORROW AS THE RAIN COMES TO
  AN END. POOR DRAINAGE AREAS...INCLUDING DITCHES...MAY EXPERIENCE
  PONDING OF WATER.
