...The National Weather Service in Marquette is continuing the Flood
Advisory for the Sturgeon River near Nahma Junction in Delta

.Training thunderstorms that moved through yesterday and early this
morning have dropped 1 to 2 inches of rain over portions of the
Sturgeon River Basin. No additional rainfall is forecast through
Wednesday...so flood stage is not expected to be reached.


Safety message...Residents along these rivers should remain alert and
exercise caution when walking near riverbanks.

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding is possible and rivers are
forecast to exceed bankfull. If you are in the advisory area remain
alert to possible flooding...or the possibility of the advisory being
upgraded to a warning. Report observed flooding to local emergency
services or law enforcement and request they pass this information on
to the National Weather Service.

The Flood Advisory continues for
  The Sturgeon River near Nahma Junction
* until Wednesday morning.
* At 10 AM Tuesday the stage was 8.2 feet.
* Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to near 8.3 feet by this afternoon.
* At 8.0 feet...Water overflows the banks along the river.
