FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
529 AM EDT TUE JUN 2 2015

...ANOTHER DRY DAY TODAY...THEN INCREASING RAIN CHANCES ON
WEDNESDAY...

.DISCUSSION...DEPARTING HIGH PRESSURE WILL PRODUCE ANOTHER DRY DAY
ACROSS UPPER MICHIGAN TODAY...WITH MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES
FALLING INTO THE MIDDLE 20S FOR MOST LOCATIONS. AS THE HIGH
DEPARTS...A WEAK COLD FRONT WILL SLOWLY APPROACH THE REGION ON
WEDNESDAY BEFORE PUSHING ACROSS UPPER MICHIGAN ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND
THURSDAY. FOR WEDNESDAY...EXPECT SCATTERED SHOWERS AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS TO REMAIN OVER THE WESTERN HALF OF UPPER MICHIGAN. THE
SHOWERS WILL THEN SPREAD OVER THE REST OF THE U.P. ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT
AND LINGER INTO THURSDAY NIGHT. UNCERTAINTY REMAINS WITH THE AMOUNT
OF RAIN EXPECTED WITH THE SHOWERS...BUT THE CURRENT THOUGHT IS FOR
AROUND A THIRD OF AN INCH OVER THE WESTERN U.P. WITH LESSER AMOUNTS
OVER THE EAST.
