FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
547 AM EDT Mon Mar 27 2017

...QUIET MOST OF THE WEEK THEN WINTRY PRECIPITATION POSSIBLE
LATE THIS WEEK...

.DISCUSSION...A DEPARTING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE CENTRAL GREAT
LAKES WILL LEAD TO CLOUDY...COOL AND DAMP CONDITIONS TODAY WITH A
CHANCE OF LIGHT FREEZING RAIN OR RAIN...ESPECIALLY DURING THE MORNING.
HIGH PRESSURE OVER CENTRAL CANADA WILL THEN BUILD ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES
TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY RESULTING IN DRY WEATHER. HIGH TEMPERATURES BOTH
DAYS ALONG THE WISCONSIN BORDER WILL REACH WELL INTO THE 40S TO NEAR 50
DEGREES AND MINIMUM HUMIDITIES COULD DROP TO 35 PERCENT. NORTHEAST
WINDS WILL BE LIGHT BUT WILL KEEP HIGH TEMPERATURES NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR
IN THE 30S. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING OUT OF THE PLAINS ON THURSDAY
MAY SLIDE FAR ENOUGH NORTH TO BRING WINTRY PRECIPITATION TO AT LEAST
PARTS OF UPPER MICHIGAN LATE THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY.
