...Slippery travel possible at times into Friday along with gusty
south winds...

Overnight into Friday morning, a wintry mix of occasional light
snow and freezing drizzle will develop. The wintry mix will then
change to mainly rain Friday afternoon as temperatures rise above
freezing. However, there may be enough cold air lingering to
result in a mix of rain and snow over far western Upper Michigan
and also over eastern sections of Upper Michigan. Although snow
and ice amounts will remain light through Friday, untreated roads
will be slippery. If traveling, be prepared for changing road
conditions.

In addition, strong, gusty south winds are expected late overnight
into Friday. Winds may gust up to 40 mph, especially near Lake
Superior from Marquette to Grand Marais and Whitefish Point. The
gusty winds may result in difficult travel for higher profile
vehicles, especially on west to east oriented roads.
