...Winter Storm Possible Monday into Tuesday across Upper

Those planning on traveling across the region, including across
Upper Michigan Monday into Tuesday should pay close attention to
the weather for early next week as a storm system will track
across northern Illinois and lower Michigan Monday into Tuesday.
The axis of heavy, wet system snow and where, or if at all, a
wintry mix of precipitation may bring accumulating ice, will be
highly dependent on the track of the surface low.

While considerable uncertainty remains in the exact track of the
heavier band of system snow, north central Upper Michigan looks
to be the most favorable areas where upslope flow off of Lake
Superior will help enhance snowfall totals. Locations near Lake
Michigan and across the south central could see a wintry mix of
precipitation, which may bring minor ice accumulations. Northeast
to north winds will increase during this time period and allow for
areas of blowing and drifting snow as well.

As this system evolves over the next few days, continue to check
back for the latest forecast!
