...STRONG NORTHEAST WINDS EXPECTED THIS EVENING...

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING JUST TO THE SOUTHEAST OF UPPER MICHIGAN
THIS EVENING WILL LEAD TO NORTHEAST WINDS GUSTING TO 35 TO 40 MPH
EAST OF A LINE FROM BIG BAY TO ESCANABA. NEAR THE LAKE SUPERIOR AND
LAKE MICHIGAN SHORELINES...GUSTS MAY OCCASIONALLY REACH 45 MPH
THROUGH MIDNIGHT. AS THE LOW QUICKLY DEPARTS OVERNIGHT...WINDS WILL
DIMINISH BELOW 30 MPH BY THURSDAY MORNING.

THESE STRONG WINDS...COMBINED WITH THE SATURATED SOILS FROM THE
RAINFALL TODAY...MAY LEAD TO SOME TREES AND TREE BRANCHES FALLING
DOWN. THIS COULD PRODUCE SPORADIC POWER OUTAGES DURING THE EVENING
HOURS.
