EFFECT SNOW WARNING FOR HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW AND BLOWING
SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 10 AM EST
FRIDAY.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * LIGHT SNOW WILL SPREAD INTO LUCE COUNTY LATE THIS MORNING...THEN
   INCREASE IN INTENSITY THIS AFTERNOON AS A LAKE EFFECT BAND MOVES
   NORTH OFF LAKE MICHIGAN. AS WINDS SHIFT TO THE WEST-NORTHWEST THIS
   EVENING...THE LAKE EFFECT BAND WILL MOVE EAST OF THE AREA. LATE
   THIS EVENING...LAKE EFFECT OFF LAKE SUPERIOR WILL DEVELOP AND
   CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. THE HEAVIEST LAKE EFFECT SNOW
   WILL FALL LATE TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING.

 * SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS THIS AFTERNOON INTO EARLY EVENING WILL BE
   IN THE 3 TO 6 INCH RANGE...HIGHEST OVER SOUTHERN LUCE COUNTY.
   ADDITIONAL LAKE EFFECT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT
   THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING WILL RANGE FROM 8 TO 16 INCHES...WITH THE
   HIGHEST AMOUNTS OVER NORTHERN LUCE COUNTY.

 * IN ADDITION...NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING TO 35 TO 40 MPH ALONG THE
   LAKE SUPERIOR SHORELINE AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AND INTO THURSDAY
   WILL LEAD TO BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...ALONG WITH REDUCED
   VISIBILITIES.

 * THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL BEGIN TO MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT THIS
   AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING.

 * THE COMBINATION OF THE SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW TONIGHT THROUGH
   THURSDAY NIGHT WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES BELOW A HALF MILE AT

   AT TIMES THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT...BEFORE DIMINISHING ON FRIDAY
   MORNING.

 * SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY EVENING WILL
   RANGE FROM A DUSTING OVER WESTERN ALGER COUNTY TO 1 TO 2 INCHES
   OVER EASTERN ALGER AND NORTHERN SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTIES. ADDITIONAL
   ACCUMULATIONS LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING WILL BE
   BETWEEN 8 AND 15 INCHES EAST OF MUNISING. TO THE WEST OF
   MUNISING...ACCUMULATIONS WILL QUICKLY DIMINISH TO LITTLE OR NO
