...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 11 PM EDT
THURSDAY...

The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow, which is in effect from 6 AM to 11 PM
EDT Thursday.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * Precipitation is expected to begin late tonight as rain and
   transition over to snow through the early morning hours on
   Thursday across the Keweenaw Peninsula. Snow is expected to
   linger into Thursday night.

 * Snowfall accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are possible.

IMPACTS...

 * Snow will take on heavy and wet characteristics, which will
   make travel difficult at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties.
