...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST /6 AM
CST/ THIS MORNING...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * Lake effect snow showers will produce another 1 to 3 inches of
   snow through daybreak this morning.

 * Winds gusting as high as 25 MPH will produce patchy blowing
   and drifting snow, especially near Lake Superior.

IMPACTS...

 * Travel will be difficult where heavier snow has occurred
   overnight. Roads will be snow covered, and visibility could
   still be briefly reduced to under one mile at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 * A Winter Storm Warning for heavy lake effect snow and blowing
   snow means severe winter weather conditions are occurring.
   Travel in some areas may be dangerous.

MORNING...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * Lake effect snow showers will produce an additional 1 to 3
   inches of snow early this morning. The most snow will occur
   over northern and eastern portions of Marquette county. Snow
   showers will diminish after 7 AM EST.

 * Winds gusting as high as 35 MPH will cause areas of blowing and
   drifting snow, especially through the morning near Lake Superior.

IMPACTS...

 * Travel will be difficult early this morning, especially in
   areas that experienced heavy snow overnight. Roads will be
   snow covered, and visibility may still be briefly reduced to
   under one half mile at times.

   drifting snow through the morning, especially near Lake
   Superior.

 * Travel may be difficult at times early this morning with snow
   covered roads and visibility reduced to under one mile at
   times in falling and blowing snow.

   continue into this evening.

 * Expect additional snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches into this
   evening, with the most snow occurring in the snowbelts of
   eastern Alger county to northern Luce county, including
   Shingleton, Seney and Pine Stump Junction.

 * Winds gusting as high as 35 to 40 MPH will produce areas of
   blowing and drifting snow, especially through early this
   afternoon near Lake Superior.

 * Difficult travel is expected as roads remain snow covered and
   icy. Visibility may be reduced to under one half mile at times
   in snow and blowing snow.
