...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow occurring. Plan on difficult
  travel conditions, including during the morning commute on
  Tuesday. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 8 inches are
  expected, with localized amounts up to 13 inches near Rock in
  northern Delta County.

* WHERE...Delta County.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Northwest winds gusting as high as 30 mph
  will cause considerable blowing and drifting snow with
  occasional whiteout conditions along Highway M-35.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy lake effect snow means
significant amounts of lake effect snow are forecast that will
make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you must travel,
keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case
of an emergency.

TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow occurring. Plan on difficult
  travel conditions, including during the morning commute on
  Tuesday. Additional snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches, except
  12 to 19 inches from near Marquette and Harvey through Skandia
  to Carlshend and McFarland are expected. Locations to the south
  and west of Champion to Ishpeming and Gwinn will see snow totals
  of 2 to 4 inches.

* WHERE...Marquette County. Impacting portions of US-41, M-28,
  M-35 and M-94, especially south and east of Marquette.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause
  considerable blowing and drifting snow. This will lead to white-
  out conditions at times, especially along M-28 between Marquette
  and Munising.

  Tuesday. Tree branches could fall as well. Additional snow
  accumulations of 5 to 10 inches, except 12 to 17 inches near
  Sundell, Kiva, Traunik and Chatham are expected.

* WHERE...Alger County. Including M-28 and M-94.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 45 mph will cause
  widespread blowing and drifting snow. This will lead to white-
  out conditions at times, especially along M-28 between
  Marquette and Munising.

* WHERE...Keweenaw, Ontonagon, Northern Houghton, Baraga and
  Gogebic Counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST /9 AM CST/ Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause
  areas of blowing and drifting snow. This will lead to reduced
  visibilities of half a mile or less at times.
