 * MODERATE TO HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW OFF LAKE SUPERIOR WILL CONTINUE
   THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. THE HEAVIEST LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL
   FALL THROUGH THIS MORNING...BEFORE SLOWLY DIMINISHING LATE THIS
   AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT.

 * ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING WILL
   RANGE FROM 6 TO 12 INCHES...WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS OVER
   NORTHERN LUCE COUNTY.

 * IN ADDITION...NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING TO 35 TO 40 MPH ALONG THE
   LAKE SUPERIOR SHORELINE THROUGH THIS MORNING WILL LEAD TO BLOWING
   AND DRIFTING SNOW...ALONG WITH REDUCED VISIBILITIES.

IMPACTS...

 * THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT THROUGH
   FRIDAY MORNING.

 * THE COMBINATION OF THE SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW TODAY WILL REDUCE
   VISIBILITIES BELOW A HALF MILE AT TIMES.

 * LARGE WAVES AS HIGH AS 8 TO 13 FEET WILL LEAD TO MINOR LAKESHORE
   FLOODING AND BEACH EROSION ALONG LAKE SUPERIOR TODAY.

   BETWEEN 6 AND 11 INCHES FROM MUNISING EASTWARD. TO THE SOUTH AND
   WEST OF MUNISING...ACCUMULATIONS WILL QUICKLY DIMINISH TO 1 TO 3
   INCHES IN CHATHAM...AND TO LITTLE OR NO ACCUMULATION IN TRENARY.

 * IN ADDITION...NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING TO 35 TO 40 MPH ALONG THE

   FROM IRONWOOD THROUGH ROCKLAND. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE
   POSSIBLE JUST TO THE SOUTHWEST OF WHITE PINE AND PORCUPINE
   MOUNTAIN STATE PARK. LESSER AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES OF ADDITIONAL
   ACCUMULATION ARE EXPECTED NEAR BRUCE CROSSING AND WATERSMEET.
