This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop early this
afternoon over the mountains and then move off into the plains by
later in the afternoon and through the evening, with the best
chance for storms mainly north of Highway 50. Any thunderstorms
today may produce occasional cloud to ground lightning and gusty
winds to 45 mph, and one or two storms over the Pikes Peak region
could become strong, with hail up to an inch in diameter and
gusty winds up to 60 mph. Higher elevations above 10000 feet will
see snowfall today and tonight, and spotty 3 to 5 inch amounts
are possible, mainly for the Sawatch and northern Sangre de
Cristo Ranges. Lighter amounts are forecast for the remaining
mountains.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Enhanced fire danger is expected for portions of the area on
Thursday.

There will be a slightly better chance for showers and
thunderstorms across the central mountains, Pikes Peak region and
the Palmer Divide Friday through Sunday.
