...FLOOD WATCH FOR AN ICE JAM NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam is possible.

* WHERE...The Yukon River near Circle

* WHEN...Through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Residents of Circle should be aware that the breakup
  front on the Yukon river is approaching and expected to reach
  Circle later today or Wednesday. No overbank flooding has been
  reported yet. However, as the breakup front moves downstream
  towards Circle it is likely that small jams will form and release,
  leading to rapidly changing water levels with the potential for
  minor or moderate flooding at Circle.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - An ice jam 30 miles upstream of Circle, near Coal Creek, has
    been holding the past few days. A run of ice and high water
    passed through Eagle on Monday and is expected to push into
    the jam near Coal Creek today. This run of high water and ice
    is expected to break up the jam near Coal Creek today, and
    cause the break up front and high water to approach Circle
    later today or Wednesday.
