...The National Weather Service in Boston/Norton MA has issued a
Flood Watch for the following rivers in Rhode Island...

  Pawtuxet River At Cranston affecting Southeast Providence RI,
  Eastern Kent RI, Northwest Providence RI and Western Kent RI
  zones.

  Wood River At Hope Valley affecting Washington RI zone.

For the Pawtuxet River...including Scituate Reservoir, Cranston...
flooding is possible.
For the Wood River...including Hope Valley...flooding is possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you are in the watch area, remain alert to possible flooding.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Flooding is possible.

* WHERE...Wood River at Hope Valley.

* WHEN...From Friday evening until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 6.0 feet, In Richmond, the Wood River renders
  portions of Wood River Drive and Wood River Circle impassable. In
  Hopkinton, the Wood River floods sections of Dow Park off of Main
  Street.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:15 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 3.3 feet.
  - Forecast...Flood stage may be reached tomorrow evening.
  - Flood stage is 5.0 feet.

* WHERE...Pawtuxet River at Cranston.

* WHEN...From late Friday night until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding will occur along the
  river as it flows through Warwick and Cranston.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 2:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 7.0 feet.
  - Forecast...Flood stage may be reached early Saturday morning.
  - Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
