.Rain falling on snow in wooded areas will lead to snow melt and
increasing runoff. Flows on streams and creeks will rise Friday and
into Friday evening and may locally reach bankfull or cause minor
flooding.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY
EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is possible.
* WHERE...A portion of Central Highlands Maine, including the
following areas, Central Piscataquis and Southern Piscataquis.
* WHEN...From Friday morning through Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of creeks,
streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rainfall of 1 to 1.5 inches with locally higher amounts can
be expected across the area Friday into Friday evening. The
rain will combine with snowmelt up to the equivalent of 2
inches, and the combination of the rain and snowmelt will
cause streams and creeks to rise and may result in minor
flooding.
