...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM SATURDAY TO 8 AM
EDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 9 and
  14 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of Central Highlands, Far Eastern, Far Northern,
  North Woods, and Penobscot Valley Maine

* WHEN...From 4 AM Saturday to 8 AM EDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult due to heavy snowfall and
  reduced visibility in areas of blowing snow. Strong winds could
  cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet, and
ice will make travel extremely dangerous.

  11 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.


* WHERE...Northwest Aroostook, Central Washington, and Interior
  Hancock Counties.

* WHEN...From late tonight through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult due to heavy snowfall and
  reduced visibility in areas of blowing snow. Strong winds could
  cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.
