THURSDAY MORNING...

.A FRONT IN THE SOUTHERN PARTS OF KANSAS AND MISSOURI WILL SLOWLY
MOVE NORTH TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY. VERY WARM AND MOIST AIR SOUTH OF
THE FRONT WILL INTERACT WITH AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE AND
PRODUCE A LARGE AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS. THESE STORMS MAY MOVE
ACROSS THE SAME AREA AND PRODUCE EXCESSIVE RAINFALL.

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF ILLINOIS AND IOWA...
  INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN ILLINOIS...BUREAU...
  CARROLL...HANCOCK...HENDERSON...HENRY IL...MCDONOUGH...
  MERCER...PUTNAM...ROCK ISLAND...WARREN AND WHITESIDE. IN
  IOWA...BENTON...CEDAR...CLINTON...DES MOINES...HENRY IA...
  IOWA...JACKSON...JEFFERSON...JOHNSON...JONES...KEOKUK...LEE...
  LINN...LOUISA...MUSCATINE...SCOTT...VAN BUREN AND WASHINGTON.

* FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING

* A FRONT WILL MOVE NORTH INTO THE AREA ON WEDNESDAY. VERY WARM
  AND MOIST AIR SOUTH OF THE FRONT WILL HELP PRODUCE A LARGE AREA
  OF THUNDERSTORMS. RAINFALL OF AT LEAST 1 TO 3 INCHES MAY BE
  POSSIBLE BY SUNRISE THURSDAY.

* THE GROUND IS ALREADY QUITE MOIST FROM HEAVY RAINFALL THE PAST
  10 DAYS. ANY ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL WOULD QUICKLY SATURATE
  THE SOIL RESULTING IN FLASH FLOODING AND CAUSING RISES ON AREA
  WATERWAYS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLASH FLOODING IS POSSIBLE.
MONITOR FORECASTS AND TAKE ACTION IF FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS ARE
ISSUED OR FLASH FLOODING DEVELOPS.
