.AFTER ROUNDS OF HEAVY RAIN PRODUCING THUNDERSTORMS MOVE ACROSS
THE AREA THIS MORNING...THERE WILL BE THE CHANCE FOR MORE STORM
DEVELOPMENT WITH HEAVY RAIN LATER THIS EVENING AND INTO TONIGHT
ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHEASTERN IOWA...FAR NORTHEASTERN MISSOURI
AND WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS. THE THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT WILL HAVE THE
POTENTAIL OF PRODUCING 1 TO 3 INCHES OR MORE OF RAINFALL BY EARLY
THURSDAY MORNING. THIS AMOUNT OF RAINFALL ON TOP OF WHAT OCCURS
THIS WEDNESDAY MORNING MAY PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING TONIGHT ACROSS
THESE AREAS OF CONCERN. THUS A FLASH FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED
FOR THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT.

  AND NORTHEAST MISSOURI...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN
  ILLINOIS...HANCOCK...HENDERSON...MCDONOUGH...MERCER AND
  WARREN. IN SOUTHEAST IOWA...DES MOINES...HENRY IA...
  JEFFERSON...KEOKUK...LEE...LOUISA...VAN BUREN AND WASHINGTON.
  IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI...CLARK AND SCOTLAND.

* FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING

* THE COMBINATION OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL THIS MORNING ACTING AS
  A PRIMER...AND MORE THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING BY TONIGHT WITH
  HEAVY RAINFALL OF 1 TO 4 INCHES POSSIBLE...MAY LEAD TO FLASH
  FLOODING.

* FLASH FLOODING IS POSSIBLE ALONG CREEKS, LOW LYING AREAS, AND
  URBAN AREAS TONIGHT WHERE HEAVY RAINFALL OCCURS. WATER MAY ALSO
  COVER ROADS ALONG WITH RAPID RISES ON LOCAL STREAMS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLASH FLOODING IS POSSIBLE.
MONITOR FORECASTS AND TAKE ACTION IF FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS ARE
