...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM CDT TUESDAY FOR
YELLOW CREEK IN SOUTHERN STEPHENSON COUNTY...

At 430 PM CDT, Stephenson County Emergency Management reported that
flooding continues along Yellow Creek. Around Freeport, the river
levels had stayed nearly steady for much of the day. In areas
upstream, the levels had dropped, but the rate of fall has slowed.

Impacts are occuring in the Freeport area. This includes road
closures on Buisiness Route 20 and water running onto the eastbound
lanes of the Bypass Route.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
