River forecasts include past precipitation and forecast rainfall for
the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternate route. Turn around, don`t drown.

...Flood Warning remains in effect until Wednesday morning...

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Wapsipinicon River at Independence.
* Until Wednesday morning.
* At  8:30 AM Sunday the stage was 19.1 feet...and slowly rising.
* Flood stage is  12 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring.
* Recent activity...The river continues to rise and but has slowed
  its upward surge some. Still, with uncertainty in local flow
  contributions, the forecast crest has been adjusted upward some
  through this afternoon. Please monitor river levels closely!
* Forecast...Rise to 20.0 feet this evening...then start to fall.
  Fall below flood stage Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At  20.0 feet...Water affects most residences, businesses,
  and parks in Independence. Flooding also occurs in Fairbank,
  Littleton, and Central City. Water also floods farmland and a few
  residences in Quasqueton.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Wapsipinicon River near Anamosa Shaw Rd.
* Until Saturday morning.
* At  8:15 AM Sunday the stage was 16.2 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is  14 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Recent activity...Increase in crest forecast is due to large
  flow increases overnight upstream at Independence.
* Forecast...Rise to 24.5 feet Wednesday morning. Fall below flood
  stage next Saturday morning.
* Impact...At  22.9 feet...Fairview Highway at the Wapsi Bridge is
  closed.

* At  8:30 AM Sunday the stage was 11.4 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is  11 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Recent activity...Increase in crest forecast is due to large
  flow increases overnight upstream at Independence.
* Forecast...Rise to 13.7 feet Thursday evening...then begin falling.
* Impact...At  13.0 feet...Water affects many residences along the
  river.
