River forecasts include past precipitation and forecast rainfall for
the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternate route. Turn around, don`t drown.

* Until this evening.
* At  4:15 AM Sunday the stage was 15.1 feet...and falling.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Recent activity...The river is near crest.
* Forecast...Rise to 15.3 feet this morning. Fall below flood stage
  this evening.
* Impact...At  14.0 feet...Water affects West Main Street. Water also
  affects residences on the south side of town.

The Flood Warning is cancelled for
  The Maquoketa River near Maquoketa.
* At  3:15 AM Sunday the stage was 19.1 feet...and falling.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring...and no flooding is forecast.
* Recent activity...The individual flood crests will occur at
  different times. As a result, the river is now expected to remain
  below flood stage.
* Forecast...Crest below flood stage with a stage of 23.0 feet Monday
  evening.

* At  3:30 AM Sunday the stage was 10.2 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Recent activity...The river continues to rise rapidly.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage this morning...and continue
  rising to 18.0 feet Monday. Fall below flood stage Wednesday
  morning.
* Impact...At  18.0 feet...Water affects 1st Street and reaches the
  bottom of the Iowa Highway 150 bridge deck.

* No flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage Tuesday morning...and continue
  rising to 22.0 feet Wednesday. Fall below flood stage Saturday
  morning.
* Impact...At  21.6 feet...County Road X64 between Oxford Junction
  and Oxford Mills is closed.

* Until further notice.
* At  3:30 AM Sunday the stage was 11.5 feet...and steady.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Recent activity...The river is nearing its first crest.
* Forecast...Rise to 11.7 feet this morning. The river will fall
  below 10 feet by Tuesday morning before rising again. A second
  crest above 12 feet is expected around the end of the month.
* Impact...At  13.0 feet...Water affects many residences along the
  river.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Recent activity...The river is near crest.
* Forecast...Rise to 15.9 feet this morning...then begin falling.
* Impact...At  16.0 feet...Water affects parking lots of businesses
  east of the Stephenson Street bridge and most streets north and
  south of Illinois Highway 75 are closed. Illinois Highway 75 is
  also closed.

* Forecast...Rise to 18.9 feet Monday...then begin falling.
* Impact...At  19.0 feet...Water affects several homes in Hillsdale
  on Docia Street and on the county road south of town. Water also
  affects most houses in Osborn.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise to 16.5 feet Monday evening...then begin falling.
* Impact...At  15.5 feet...Water affects the intersection of Highways
  150 and 6. Steel Dam is under water in Milan.
