...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity for the
following rivers in Iowa...

  Maquoketa River at Manchester Hwy 20 affecting Delaware and Jones
  Counties

.The river continues to rise, but is near its crest. Additional rises
will be less than a half foot before the river beings to quicly fall
tonight.

River forecasts include past precipitation and forecast rainfall for
the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternate route. Turn around, don`t drown.

  The Maquoketa River at Manchester Hwy 20.
* Until Saturday.
* At  2:15 PM Friday the stage was 20.2 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is  14 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring.
* Recent activity...the river has slowed in its rise indicating
  it is near crest height.
* Forecast...Rise to 20.4 feet this evening. Fall below flood stage
  Saturday.
* Impact...At  19.0 feet...Water affects businesses along W Main
  Street.
