...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity for the
following rivers in Illinois...

  Rock River near Joslin affecting Henry...Rock Island and Whiteside
  Counties

...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Major severity for the
following rivers in Illinois...

  Rock River at Moline affecting Henry and Rock Island Counties

.Routed water from recent heavy rainfall, and additional forecasted
heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours will lead to major flooding on
the Rock River. Should this heavy rain not materialize, then forecast crests will be much lower.

River forecasts include past precipitation and forecast rainfall for
the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternate route. Turn around, don`t drown.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Rock River near Joslin.
* Until further notice.
* At  2:45 PM Friday the stage was 12.6 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise to 17.7 feet Tuesday...then begin falling.
* Impact...At  17.7 feet...Water affects the railroad tracks south of
  Prophetstown.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Rock River at Moline.
* Until further notice.
* At  2:30 PM Friday the stage was 11.0 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage Saturday...and continue rising to
  14.9 feet Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At  15.0 feet...Water affects business parking lots on
  52nd Avenue in Moline. Water also affects most homes on South
  Shore Drive and North Shore Drive.
