The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
  Clinton County in east central Iowa...

* Until 945 AM CDT

* At 639 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported ongoing flooding
  from heavy rain overnight, in and near Clinton, with road closures
  and standing water on streets. Up to 4 inches of rain fell
  overnight. The threat for additional heavy rain and flash flooding
  is over, but impacts from the heavy rain overnight will linger
  this morning. Motorists should remain alert for water on roads,
  and barricaded roads. Conditions will improve through the morning
  hours.

* Some locations that will experience lingering flooding this morning
  include...
  Clinton, DeWitt, Camanche, Fulton, Wheatland, Grand Mound, Delmar,
  Lost Nation, Calamus, Charlotte, McCausland, Low Moor, Welton,
  Toronto, Andover, Goose Lake, Lyons, Malone, Folletts and Teeds
  Grove.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
