following rivers in Iowa...

  Counties
  Wapsipinicon River near Anamosa Shaw Rd affecting Cedar...Jones and
  Linn Counties
  Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Clinton and Scott
  Counties
  Iowa River at Marengo affecting Iowa County
  Iowa River at Columbus Jct affecting Louisa County
  Iowa River at Wapello affecting Louisa County
  Iowa River at Oakville affecting Louisa County

.The following has updated information on the River Flood Warnings.

River forecasts include past precipitation and forecast rainfall for
the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternate route. Turn around, don`t drown.

* Until Monday.
* At  1:30 PM Saturday the stage was 15.4 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is  12 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring.
* Recent activity...the river continues to sharply rise.
* Forecast...Rise to 16.8 feet Sunday morning. Fall below flood stage
  Monday.
* Impact...At  16.0 feet, water affects many residences, businesses,
  and parks in Independence and Littleton.

* Until Thursday evening.
* At  4:15 PM Saturday the stage was 13.8 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is  14 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage Sunday morning and continue
  rising to 21.5 feet Tuesday. Fall below flood stage Thursday
  evening.
* Impact...At  21.5 feet...Major Flood Stage. Stone City Road is
  closed.

* Impact...At  13.0 feet...Water affects many residences along the

* At  4:00 PM Saturday the stage was 15.2 feet and steady.
* Flood stage is  14 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...the level will fluctuate over the next few days with
  then begin rising again early next week above 15.5 feet.
* Impact...At  16.0 feet, water affects agricultural land along the
  river. Water is several feet deep in places.

* Impact...At  27.5 feet water affects U.S. Highway 61 north of
  Wapello.

* Impact...At  15.2 feet water affects the south approach to the
  Iowa Highway 99 bridge near Oakville.
