...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity for the
following rivers in Iowa...

  Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Clinton and Scott
  Counties

.Recent heavy rainfall...along with more heavy rainfall tonight and
into early Thursday morning will lead to moderate to major flooding on
the Wapsipinicon...North Skunk...and Skunk Rivers in Iowa.

River forecasts include past precipitation and forecast rainfall for
the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternate route. Turn around, don`t drown.

* At  7:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 11.5 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is  11 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise to 12.7 feet Friday morning. Fall below flood stage
  Monday.
* Impact...At  12.5 feet...Water affects old U.S. Highway 61 near the
  river.

* Flood Warning for
  The North Skunk River near Sigourney.
* Until Monday morning.
* At  7:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 9.3 feet...And rising.
* Flood stage is  16 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage Thursday...and continue rising to
  21.7 feet Friday morning. Fall below flood stage Monday morning.

* Until Monday morning.
* At  7:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 5.9 feet...And rising.
* Flood stage is  15 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage Friday morning...and continue
  rising to 18.7 feet Saturday morning. Fall below flood stage
  Monday morning.
* Impact...At  18.0 feet...Widespread agricultural flooding occurs.
