...The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Iowa and Illinois...

  Mississippi River from Ill. City LD16 through Burlington, affecting
  Muscatine, Rock Island, Louisa, Mercer, Des Moines, Henderson, Lee,
  and Hancock Counties

.Heavy rain fell across portions of Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois over
the past week, which is routing through the tributary systems and into
the Mississippi River. Flood stage is expected to be reached in the coming
days from the Quad Cities downstream through Burlington. Crest forecasts
may change as confidence increases on how much water is entering the system
from the tributary rivers.

River forecasts include past precipitation and forecast rainfall for
the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternate route. Turn around, don`t drown.

* Flood Warning for
  The Mississippi River at Ill. City LD16.
* Until Thursday evening.
* At  8:00 AM Sunday the stage was 11.7 feet, and rising.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent activity...the river has been steadily rising over the past 24
  hours.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage Monday evening...and continue
  rising to 16.0 feet Tuesday evening. Fall below flood stage
  Thursday evening.
* Impact...At  17.0 feet, Water affects the Buffalo Shores Access
  Area.

* Until Friday morning.
* At 10:15 AM Sunday the stage was 13.4 feet, and rising.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent activity...the river has been steadily rising over the past 24
  hours.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage Monday morning...and continue
  rising to 18.0 feet Wednesday morning. Fall below flood stage
  Friday morning.
* Impact...At  19.0 feet, Water affects marina buildings in
  Muscatine. Water affects Mississippi Drive at Walnut Street.

  16.9 feet Wednesday morning. Fall below flood stage Friday
  evening.
* Impact...At  18.1 feet, Lock and Dam 17 is closed.

* Forecast...Rise above flood stage Monday, and continue rising to
  15.6 feet Wednesday. Fall below flood stage Saturday morning.
* Impact...At  16.0 feet, Water is over the campground and boat ramp
  in Keithsburg.
