...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 02/28/17 TORNADO EVENT...

.OVERVIEW...During the afternoon and evening hours Tuesday,
February 28th, 2017 a strong storm system brought supercell
thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes to
extreme eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois. These are the first
known tornadoes to impact the local area in the month of February.

Clinton county emergency management observed a brief touchdown in a
field, with dust debris noted. No damage was observed.

A damage survey found damage along the path of snapped pine trees,
damaged farm outbuildings, and an unroofed an attached garage and part
of a house. A second house also sustained damage to its roof.
