...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 02/28/17 TORNADO EVENT...

.OVERVIEW...During the afternoon and evening hours Tuesday,
February 28th, 2017 a strong storm system brought supercell
thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes to
extreme eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois. These are the first
known tornadoes to impact the local area in the month of February.
We are investigating 4 possible tornadoes and will continue to update
this report.

Clinton county emergency management observed a brief touchdown in a
field, with dust debris noted. No damage was observed.

Survey found damage along the path to mainly trees, with an farm
shed completely destroyed.

This damage will be surveyed tomorrow, March 2nd.

.Possible Tornado # 4...Near Bradford Illinois

This possible tornado is being investigated further.
