FOR CENTRAL HENDERSON...NORTHWESTERN WARREN...SOUTHWESTERN MERCER...
EASTERN DES MOINES AND SOUTHEASTERN LOUISA COUNTIES...
At 554 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Kingston, or
near Oquawka, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Burlington, Oquawka, Mediapolis, Keithsburg, Little York, Gladstone,
Rozetta, Seaton, Oakville, Gulf Port, Ogle, Kossuth, Bald Bluff,
Kingston, Sperry, Eleanor, Northfield, Lone Tree, Carthage Lake, and
4th Pumping Station Campground.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for northwestern
and west central Illinois...and southeastern Iowa.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
