...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northeastern
Wilkinson, northeastern Baldwin, southwestern Warren, Hancock,
Glascock and western Washington Counties through 1045 AM EDT...

At 1013 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Beulah, or 9 miles
southwest of Sparta, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, frequent cloud to ground lightning and
         heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
         street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Locations impacted include...
Milledgeville, Sandersville, Sparta, Gibson, Tennille, Oconee,
Mitchell, Deepstep, Edge Hill, Edgehill, Springfield, Hamburg State
Park, Shoals, Downs, Beulah, Powelton, Agricola, Hebron, Hardwick,
and Bastonville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists
should slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 PM EDT for central and
east central Georgia.
