...STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CROSSING SOUTHERN LAKE
MICHIGAN...

The areas affected include...
  Nearshore and Open Waters from St Joseph to Grand Haven MI...

At 300 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms capable
of producing damaging winds and large hail that were moving out of
the Chicago area and across southern Lake Michigan. Storm motion was
to the northeast at 40 knots. Special marine warnings will likely be
required later this afternoon for the waters between St Joseph and
Grand Haven. Boaters should consider heading for shore before the
storms arrive.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for southwestern
Michigan...and the adjacent waters of Lake Michigan.
