The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Waters from Cameron LA to High Island TX from 20 to 60 NM...

* Until 900 AM CDT.

* At 806 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located near High Island A201, or 18 nm northeast
  of High Island A80, moving southeast at 20 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  West Cameron 398, High Island A100, West Cameron 342, and High
  Island A201.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
