...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN ST. MARTIN PARISH
THROUGH 1100 AM CDT...

At 1034 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Cecilia, or near Breaux Bridge, moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Catahoula, Breaux Bridge, St. Martinville, Arnaudville, Henderson,
Butte La Rose, Cecilia, and Parks.

This includes Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 108 and
121.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
