* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Rapides Parish in central Louisiana...
  Northern Evangeline Parish in central Louisiana...
  Southwestern Avoyelles Parish in central Louisiana...

* Until 615 PM CDT.

* At 524 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Glenmora,
  moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Marksville, Bunkie, Glenmora, Moreauville, Cheneyville, Turkey
  Creek, Cottonport, Mansura, Lecompte, Hessmer, Evergreen,
  Plaucheville, Goudeau, St. Landry, Forest Hill, and Mcnary.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for central and
southwestern Louisiana.
