...The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a Flood Advisory
for the following rivers in Nevada...

  Humboldt River At Comus affecting Humboldt County.

.Warm temperatures will melt snowpack and increase river flows.

For the Lower Humboldt...including Palisade, Battle Mountain,
Comus...elevated river levels are forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.

The next statement will be issued Friday morning at 715 AM PDT.

...FLOOD ADVISORY FOR SNOWMELT IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON UNTIL
FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is expected.

* WHERE...Humboldt River at Comus.

* WHEN...From this afternoon until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Minor Flood Stage. Minor lowland flooding
  throughout the reach. No flooding in Winnemucca.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:15 PM PDT Thursday the stage was 8.1 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to reach action stage late
    tonight or Friday morning. Additional rises are expected with
    the river reaching minor flood stage late Monday morning.
  - Action stage is 8.5 feet.
  - Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
