...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM CDT...

For the following areas...

  Nearshore Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Calumet Harbor...
  Nearshore Waters from Calumet Harbor to Michigan City...
  Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid
Lake...

At 1022 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Belmont Harbor to 16 nm southwest of Gary, moving
northeast at 30 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

  Montrose Harbor, Harrison-Dever Crib, Monroe Harbor, 31st Street
  Harbor, Calumet Harbor, Burnham Harbor, DuSable Harbor, 59th
  Street Marina, Belmont Harbor, and Diversy Harbor around 1025 PM
  CDT.
  Indiana Harbor around 1030 PM CDT.
  Burns Harbor and Marina Shores at Dune Harbor around 1100 PM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
